Marketplace technology and media business WagerWire has entered into a new partnership with sportsbook platform provider SB22.

Under the deal, WagerWire’s proprietary marketplace technology will be integrated into the sports betting products SB22 builds for its customers.

Bets will be tradeable inside SB22 customers’ applications via an in-sportsbook marketplace, as well as on the WagerWire app.

“WagerWire’s mission is to improve the betting experience through advanced betting capabilities, open market efficiency and engaging content and media,” WagerWire co-founder and CEO Zach Doctor said.

“By unlocking secondary market activity for sports bets, and the social engagement that happens on top of this marketplace, WagerWire is an engine for leveraging an operator’s audience into the most active, engaged and passionate customer base in the industry.

SB22 chief commercial officer Vik Shrestha says the deal offers added value to customers and helps differentiate SB22 products.

“It was abundantly clear that integrating WagerWire’s technology into our business offering is not only an incredible value-add for our customers, but also puts us miles ahead of other platform providers,” Shrestha said.

“Our mission is to offer the best possible experience for sports bettors. Integrating WagerWire into our products does that.”

Expanding roster of clients for WagerWire

The deal comes after WagerWire earlier this month also entered a similar partnership with microbetting operator Betr.

WagerWire’s proprietary technology has been unified with Betr’s V1 sportsbook platform. This allows for trading within both WagerWire’s and Betr’s mobile apps.

The link-up came as Betr, founded by Joey Levy and Jake Paul, launched its real-money sportsbook product in Virginia. This expanded its total active US states to three.

Earlier this year, WagerWire also announced affiliate deals with nine operators. In addition, it secured licences to operate in 16 US states, further expanding its reach in the country. BetMGM, Caesars, SuperBook Sports, Unibet, Tipico, RSI’s BetRivers and SugarHouse and 888’s SI SportsBook are among the brands now working with WagerWire.

This came in the wake of WagerWire launching a new media division back in March. The new offering provides a range of content for fans from grassroots creators across the US and Canada.
