Kindred Group has secured an expanded strategic partnership with Stats Perform, allowing it to access additional data and statistics for sports betting.

Under the deal, Kindred can utilise the full RunningBall and Opta product suite from Stats Perform. This includes a range of real-time official sports data feeds and statistics.

Kindred said the additional content will improve players’ experience when betting on sports via the Kindred Sportsbook platform. It added the expanded deal will ensure a “frictionless” in-play betting experience.

Stats Perform scores extension to Premier League rights data deal

Stats Perform has secured an extension to its exclusive official rights deal with Football DataCo (FDC), which manages data for the English Premier League and other major British competitions.

Under the deal, Stats Perform will continue to collect detailed event data at all major English and Scottish football leagues. The agreement runs to the end of the 2024-25 season.

This includes England’s Premier League, Championship, League 1 and 2. The deal also covers all leagues overseen by the Scottish Professional Football Leagues, including the Scottish Premiership.

The deal covers player tracking data, AI-powered insight data and player market data. This will be collected and distributed through Stats Performs’ Opta brand.

Women’s sports boom raises corruption risk, new report warns

Increased and more widespread monitoring of women’s sport should be considered to help combat match-fixing, according to a new report.

‘Breaking Barriers: Assessing Women’s Sports, Betting, and Integrity Challenges’ looked at the current state of female sports around the world.

Presented this week at iGB L!VE, the study had the support of leading industry organisations, operators and suppliers. These included the International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA), All-In Diversity Project (AIDP), Entain, Flutter and Stats Perform.

The report flagged a “dramatic” rise in women’s sport worldwide, accompanied by a similar increase in betting.

Football led the way in terms of betting activity, with an annual market growth rate of approximately 20% since 2020. This was followed by tennis, basketball and cricket, with growth rates of over 10% during the period from 2017 to 2022.

Stats Perform scores streaming and data deal for Australian Open

Stats Perform has agreed a deal with Tennis Australia to become its exclusive distributor of live video streaming and data to licensed sports betting operators.

The multi-year agreement will cover all Tennis Australia tournaments, including the Australian Open and Australian Open Qualifying.

Tennis Australia will also have access to Stats Perform’s media tools including Opta Facts, PressBox Graphics and news services, while the Stats Perform Integrity division will work with forces with Tennis Australia’s in-house Integrity Unit to monitor all matches.

Stats Perform pens long-term extension with Spain’s LaLiga

Stats Perform has signed a long-term extension to its strategic partnership with La Liga to exclusively collect and manage live official data and player statistics from the top professional men’s divisions of Spanish football.

Under the five-year deal, Stats Perform will capture data from over 800 LaLiga matches per season and distribute them to licensed global broadcasters, sponsors, publishers, fantasy providers, sportsbooks and the leagues’ own digital platforms.

Key industry players partner for women’s sports research

A group of leading industry groups and businesses have joined forces to carry out long-term research exploring the growth in women’s sports.

Entain, Stats Perform, the International Betting Integrity Association and the All-In Diversity Project will work in collaboration with the German Sports University of Cologne to conduct the research.

The initiative will focus on the links between the popularity of women’s sports, betting on women’s sports and rising numbers of female sports bettors.

The group will work to publish its findings ahead of football’s Fifa Women’s World Cup 2023, which will take place in Australia and New Zealand.

Confirmation of the new research project comes as the 2022 Uefa European Women’s Football Championship is taking place in England.
